Bays cancer patient, Anne-Maree Bieg was having a difficult day before she received a Big Hug Box, generously donated by a local community member and delivered by our Day Infusion Unit nurse, Sue.
Anne-Maree said the surprise gift really turned her day around and made her feel so special.
The Big Hug Box gives comfort to cancer patients, and contains practical items to combat the common side effects of cancer such as:
- bamboo pillowcase
- cozy socks to keep feet warm during chemotherapy
- natural lip balm and moisturiser
- relaxation tea and cookies
