Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon

Hamish Curry is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon who manages all facets of foot and ankle surgery. Hamish dedicates himself to surgery of the foot and ankle, specialising in bunion correction, ankle instability and ligament reconstruction, ankle and midfoot deformity arthritis, and management of sporting injuries, Achilles tendon rupture, and traumatic foot injuries.

Hamish attained his medical degree at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. He completed his orthopaedic training in New Zealand. After gaining his Fellowship at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Hamish undertook a sub-speciality Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery in Melbourne, a Fellowship in Sports Surgery in Auckland and a Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Since 2010, Hamish has been involved in the forefront of complex foot and ankle trauma through his appointment at the Alfred Hospital Melbourne.

Hamish strives to provide a personalised and approachable service. As a people person he works to support his patients through their treatment journey by being a good listener and strong communicator.

Hamish encourages close collaboration between all health professionals to optimise patient outcomes.

He helps patients across Melbourne, consulting from rooms in Mornington, Boronia, Wantirna and East Melbourne.

He welcomes WorkCover and TAC cases, and where applicable participates in gap cover.
