Dr Neela Janakiramanan is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon with particular with sub-specialty interest and expertise in hand and wrist surgery.

Dr Janakiramanan completed her medical degree at Monash University in 2003 and her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in 2014. She also completed a Masters of Public Health in 2010, with a focus on research methodology and health care introduction and management, especially in poor settings. She commenced a RACS approved post-Fellowship training program in Hand and Wrist Surgery in 2014. Within this program, she spent a year undertaking the prestigious Victorian Hand Surgery Associates Fellowship in 2014 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and then went overseas for 16 months to complete two further clinical fellowships within pre-eminent hand units in The Netherlands and India in advanced wrist arthroscopy, congenital and paediatric hand surgery and major upper limb trauma and brachial plexus reconstruction. Following graduation, Neela is one of the very few plastic surgeons in Victoria with further training and qualification in the full range all traumatic and elective conditions of the hand and wrist.

Dr Janakiramanan has her private practice in Mornington with regular operating lists at The Bays. She also has public appointments at Peninsula Health and Eastern Health.
