Dr. Mark Walland is an ophthalmic surgeon with particular in interests in:
- Cataract surgery
- Glaucoma care
- Complex glaucoma and cataract surgery
Dr. Walland trained in Melbourne at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH) and then undertook a further four years of sub-specialty and Fellowship training at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
He is presently a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with that Glaucoma Investigation and Research Unit at the RVEEH, and has been an Honorary Senior Fellow of the University of Melbourne at St Vincent’s Hospital; a consultant ophthalmologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital; a RANZCO College Examiner and Journal Section Editor; and Victorian Chairman of Selection of ophthalmic trainees, as well as supervising the Victorian ophthalmologists’ training program.
He is presently active in teaching and training of future ophthalmologists through his work at RVEEH.
He lives on the Mornington Peninsula and has been established there as a popular and
highly-regarded eye care provider for over 25 years.
