Dr Abha Kaul is a consultant gastroenterologist. Dr Kaul completed her Basic Physician’s training in Brisbane, where she acquired a broad experience through placements across Queensland.

Dr Kaul then completed advanced training in Gastroenterology & Hepatology from the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane, Royal Brisbane Hospital and Peninsula Health in Melbourne.

Apart from all facets of general gastroenterology, Dr Kaul has a particular interest in the management of complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease, in which she undertook advanced fellowship training at the multi-disciplinary Royal Melbourne Hospital, including the management of IBD in pregnancy.

Dr Kaul has published in international journals and authored a book chapter in the Oxford handbook of clinical medicine. Dr Kaul is currently employed with Peninsula Health, where she is actively involved in the education of medical students and junior doctors. She regularly participates in national and international conferences to stay up to date with current practices and has been invited to present at conferences by the Pharmacists’ Society of Australia.
