Congratulations to registered nurse, Emily Donovan, who will receive a scholarship through our Nursing and Midwifery Education Fund, thanks to founding partner, Rotary Mornington.
Emily, who currently works in our operating theatre, was recently successful in applying for support to complete her Master of Advanced Nursing (Perioperative) at Monash University.
Emily has worked at The Bays since 2022, starting as an enrolled nurse on our Briars Ward while finishing her Bachelor of Nursing.
She commenced her graduate year in theatre as a registered nurse in 2023 and became a proficient circulating and instrument nurse, with a strong interest in gynaecology and obstetrics. She has recently begun training to become an anaesthetic nurse, and has developed a passion for perioperative nursing.
Emily aspires to advance her career and eventually become a clinical nurse specialist, nurse educator or Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), after completing her postgraduate study.
