As you may have seen, a lot of progress has now been made on the construction of our new Cancer Care Centre, with the second-floor slab and bunker wall concrete poured.
In-ground plumbing works are underway, and our builder will be holding a ‘topping out ceremony’ on Friday, 14 March, to celebrate the milestone of achieving concrete structure completion on the new Cancer Care Centre. We are still very much on track to open Stage One of the Cancer Care Centre in August this year.
Although we received a portion of Federal Government funding for the new Cancer Care Centre, a funding shortfall of $4.9 million remains. As an independent, not-for-profit hospital, we now need community and philanthropic support to help complete this vital project.
