What is a Donation?

A donation is an immediate gift of funds or goods to the hospital. The purchase of additional equipment and furnishings is funded through donations received from the public. Whilst most donations made to the hospital go towards projects given priority by the Board of Directors and Management, you can nominate a particular area, piece of equipment or service to receive your donation. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and a receipt will be issued on request.

What is a Trust Fund?

Recent changes in legislation in Australia now make it easier to establish a 'living bequest' or Trust Fund, to benefit an organisation in perpetuity and commencing during the benefactor's lifetime. An amount is set aside, as with a bequest, and is invested to provide income to benefit the charity you have selected, during your lifetime and beyond. This form of giving attracts considerable taxation concessions.
