Dr Simone Steel

Dr Simone Steel is a general medical oncologist with particular interests in gastrointestinal and lung cancer. Dr Steel is available for private patient consultation and to oversee oncology treatment at The Bays Hospital in Mornington.

Dr Steel graduated from Newcastle University in 1998 and completed advanced training in medical oncology in 2008 as part of the Victorian Oncology Training Programme. This involved rotations through various hospitals in Victoria including Box Hill Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Steel completed a clinical research fellowship with Austin Health in 2008 focusing on clinical trials and commenced private practice in Frankston in 2011. Dr Steel currently has a public hospital appointment with Eastern Health which commenced in 2012 and is an adjunct lecturer at Monash University with involvement in medical student teaching.

Dr Steel lives permanently on the Mornington Peninsula and is dedicated to providing quality, individualised care for her patients.
